428B Yishun Avenue 11

As with all minimalistic designs, the designer was very careful in space planning for this project, so as to ensure that there is no excessive furniture, while still ensuring adequate storage for the homeowner’s golf bags and other belongings. What really stood out in this project is the colour scheme. To give it a some Scandinavian vibes, the designer and the homeowner chose flooring and laminates that kept to the colour scheme of earth brown. However, they decided to go off-script for the kitchen, choosing a 2 tone green and beige colour combination instead. The end result was absolutely eye-pleasing, especially with the white countertops.

Something that is quite uncommon in this build is the vinyl flooring which runs through the entire house, even for the kitchen. While we don’t usually encourage this, the homeowner assured us that he rarely wets the floor excessively and because we were confident with the quality of the vinyl flooring that we use, we agreed to accede to the homeowner’s request. The kitchen looks great and we are confident the flooring will last a very long time to come.

Finally, the big TV feature wall simply completes the look of the living room. The designer stopped at nothing to find the perfect wallpaper. He eventually settled on one with the right colour and beautiful prints of leaves on it, and the wall turned out to be incredibly eye-catching. Just goes to show that simplicity is key.
